Fitting neoprene seat covers is a straightforward job most owners can do themselves, no upholstery experience needed. Here’s what the process actually looks like.
Before You Start
• Make sure you have the correct set for your exact vehicle model, custom-fit covers are cut for specific seat shapes and won’t fit a different model correctly
• Clear the seats of any loose items
• If your vehicle has seat airbags, contact the Damishq team before fitting to confirm your cover is airbag-compatible
Fitting the Front Seats
1. Start with the seat back. Slide the cover over the top and pull it down evenly on both sides.
2. Work the cover around the headrest posts before pulling the rest into place.
3. Pull the seat base cover over the bottom cushion, working from the back toward the front.
4. Secure any straps or clips underneath the seat, these keep the cover from shifting once you’re driving.
5. Smooth out the material so it sits flush against the seat contours rather than bunching.
Fitting the Rear Seats
The process is the same, seat back first, then the base, working the material around any fold-down sections or armrests your vehicle has. Rear seat covers usually take less time since there’s no headrest post work involved on bench-style seats.
After Installation
Check that all buckles, levers, and adjustment controls still move freely, a well-fitted cover shouldn’t interfere with normal seat operation. If a seam feels tight around a lever or handle, double check the cover is the correct one for your model before continuing.
